Wednesday, March 7, 2012 Friendship Bracelets...Popular Again
Vintage friendship bracelts by cute&useful circa, um, some time ago. And now, I can't resisit a favorite Pixar quote, "Tell me Ambruster...how can it be...POP-ular? Well, they're colorful, and kids are wearing them again. They've popped up like early daffodils all over the web. Do you remember friendship bracelets? Remember making them? Still remember your favorite patterns and colors?

From top to bottom:
Neon Friendship Bracelets (great tutorial on making all types) from the purl bee via How About Orange
Friendship Bracelet Arrows from Trois Pommes Vertes on Etsy
Heart Pattern Friendship Braclets D.I.Y. from LA Manufacture
My braclet-making supplies, still in order from late 1980's. Love those crazy 80's kids on the instruction booklet?
Friendship Bracelet Chevron Rug DIY from The House That Lars Built
Which are your favorites? Any you want to try? I had a backlog of "orders" the summer of '89, all requested in various patterns and variations of "Bluecoat Blue" (I marched Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps from 1988-1991). I never finished my orders. I still feel bad about that.
Maybe I can catch up now.
