Upcycled Kleenex Box Gift Tags

Hard start this morning. For the past couple of days it has been raining steady, and this brings out an idosyncrasy in my little cabrio; it won't start. It huffs and chugs, rattles and shakes...then, once you think you have it going and back out of the driveway, it won't go into first. Best thing is to get it started in the driveway and let it run, a long while.

Today it's my turn. On this beautiful, spring day I woke up and sneezed, and sneezed, and sneezed, eyes itch, uncomfortable to breathe...so, back to bed, let myself run a while. Still sputtered a little getting into first but good as new, now.

Anyhow, today's little simplicity is something I've done for quite a while, as I can't bear to just dispose of the cute Kleenex boxes that I know a designer somewhere worked on. Besides, they make really fun gift tags!

I might be a better blogger if I took picutes of myself actually tracing and cutting these out, but you understand that it is the process, right? Supplies are, the layered gift tag template, colorful cardstock (colorful not completely necessary, as I think these would look equally cute with white) and tissue boxes. OK. And scissors and glue and a hole punch, and some ribbon or string to hang them by.

I made 16 of these in less than an hour, and I could've made many, many more out of each Kleenex box. You can easily set yourself up with tags for quite some time and have many to spare -- maybe I'm a little suspect on this, but I think a handful of gift tags would make a cute little neighbor or visiting teaching gift.
