Ellen: Hand-Painted Silk

Yesterday, I delivered some business cards to my friend Ellen. Her hand-painted silk scarves were selected this year for the Waterford Craft Fair -- quite an honor!

This project has so far included logo design and business cards. The color and pattern on the front of the cards is taken straight from one of her scarves -- pretty! The business cards do double duty as price tags -- punch a small hole in the top and they're ready to go.

The Waterford Fair is the oldest juried craft fair in Virginia. In addition to the numerous crafts on display and for sale, there are demonstrations by the artists, tours of private historic homes in Waterford Villiage, music, food, and entertainment. Waterford is located 45 miles west of Washington DC, near Leesburg, VA.

Ellen's scarves will be for sale in the Waterford Shop; they requested 100 scarves, so Ellen has been busy. The fair is in a couple of weeks, Friday through Sunday, October 5-7.

Still to come for Ellen are a website/blog and an online shop. Hooray, Ellen!
